Amy is one of Dwell’s newest instructors although she has been with Dwell since its inception in 2018 as one of the founding members. She began taking Holy Yoga classes with Maureen through Frisco Holy Yoga in 2013 and in 2020 decided to take the plunge to become a yoga instructor herself. She received her RYT through Holy Yoga in 2020 and began offering community classes at Dwell, quickly adopting a following of loyal students.
Amy regularly teaches Dwell’s hatha classes where her students are challenged and have fun while learning about proper muscle engagement and the vitality of the breath.
Amy comes by teaching naturally. She has been a special education teacher for over 20 years, beginning her career in Phoenix, Arizona. She came back to North Texas with her family in 2008. She taught preschool for four years and has been in the FISD for 8 years.
Outside of the classroom and studio, Amy enjoys reading novels, cooking, and creating charcuterie boards to share with family and friends. Amy and her husband David have three children who keep them on their toes. She attends Preston Trails Church in Frisco.
